B-day ‘Thanks’

Posted on

This may be late (super late!), but it’s better that I say thank you than never.

My special day was complete because of all the heartwarming greetings. Even if I was at a convention, my day was just fine, with friends in the Rotaract field. But my other friends also who made me feel that I am special to them. (naks :) )

Thanks to those who greeted me in facebook (that reached almost 400) and twitter (and most of them were still awake at 12 midnight).

Thanks to my students and friends who texted me, and those who called me. ♥

Thanks to those who greeted me at the 1st Philippine Rotaract Convention. (whether I know them or not) :) I had a truly nice time there with my fellow Filipino Rotaractors.

Thanks to Sir Mhon who brought me cake that day.

Cake from Goldilocks from sir Mhon.

Thanks to Zyra for the extraordinary video that you made. ♥ If you could just see my reaction when I first saw it, I was confused and crazy..

Thanks to the organization presidents of our school, who gave me a very nice gift and for the companionship. Sir Mhon, Sir Benjie and Mam Bing for their efforts for that simple ‘dinner’ to happen. (ahuhuhu)

Thanks to the Science Education majors (with Chai) who made me a twitter board (since I love twitter) and flowers that will surely never die (made of paper).

Twitter board.

Thanks to Zyra again for the cake, birthday card and of course, the lovely flowers. ♥ (And also for the nice shots of me, as if it’s my 18th bday! >_< Super effort tol, I love you talaga. Abot langit ang appreciation ko.)

Thanks to the 2nd year education students for the tasty cake from Alvarez bakeshop. Yum yum! :)

Thank you, “Gawad Parangal”

Posted on

Thank you for this recognition. I am really happy. ♥

It was a Saturday when we drove going to De La Salle University Lipa to attend the Gawad Parangal by the Rotary Clubs of District 3820. The award aims to recognize social workers, and teachers who performs well in the workplace and in the community as well.

Juan and Me.. :) (We arrived REALLY early for the event.)

There are three categories the Gawad Parangal has recognized; the Social Workers, Elementary level, High School Level, and the College Level.

I am one of the seven outstanding teachers in the college level from the district.

Wow, I was in cloud nine! (District Governor Rey Castillo of RID 3820 handed the award.)

For every category, there is one hailed “Most Outstanding”. I knew before then that I won’t be chosen, given the fact that I’m still young, there are still more “senior” teachers than me who have rendered teaching and community service for a longer time. I salute them for that.

Just to be recognized by our sponsoring Rotary Club is already an honor for me.

Bro. Armin Luistro, DG Rey Castillo, the president of our Sponsoring Rotary Sir Mhon and Juan

Being a teacher in indeed a great profession, but more so for me because I am able to extend my talents more to the community.

I thank Sir Mhon, my RACSPE family, colleagues, family and my students. (Wow, mag speech ba?) :D   I don’t know, I am just happy for this.

Personal Notes

Of course, I would not have enjoyed much of that day without taking photos. Here are some of them.

We have travelled the Star Tollway very smoothly. And I love the pink girl display in the car.

I so love the scenery and this little girl display hanging. :)

When we arrived there, of course, I have to have a photo at the “Noli Me Tangere” building in De La Salle Lipa. I was not able to take a photo of the “El Filibusterismo” building. >_<

Noli Me Tangere Building

And for the first time, I have seen a building that has a whole pathway for the disabled, and that paves all the way to the top floor. Wow! (We walked that path but the elevator was working. So we took it instead. Kapagod kaya!)

The building has this pathway for the disabled from the first to the rooftop. :)

And when the three of us were finally home, we agreed to sip some coffee at where?? Of course, Starbucks, with some of my Rotaractor friends.

Thony, Asel, Carlo, Sir Mhon, Juan and me.. ♥

Juan, Me, Thony, Asel and Gucci. :D

And that was indeed a happy day. Haay. Thank you po Lord. ♥
