My First Airplane Ride

Posted on

Yeah! In my years of existence, it’s just now that I have ridden an airplane!

I was very excited to ride that plane. :)

My friends who were with me, Tophe, Virgel and Kimi. :D

Picture picture while waiting. :)

Supposed to be, my first time would have taken place if I have gone to Iloilo and joined my blogger friends there. But I was not able to join them due to some unavoidable circumstances.

Anyway, I was excited for my first ride in the airplane. At first, I was kinda scared. The plane was moving slowly and then it became fast when taking off! The feeling made me dizzy and I was holding on to my seat tightly. I couldn’t look at the window every time the plane makes a turn. It makes me feel dizzy more.

But after a while, I got used to it. I saw the clouds, it made me smile. That I was at the same level with them, or even higher than the clouds.

I was overwhelmed with the clouds. They were 'heavenly.'

I didn't sleep during the flight. I just looked at the things that I see below. Even if they hurt my eyes already. >_<

That was taken on our way home.

I am very pleased with the feeling of riding the plane. Although a bit scary, I would like to ride again and visit extravagant places.

And where have I gone during that vacation? I’ll tell you more about it in my next post. :D

At Puerto Princesa Airport. ^_^

My Torn Slippers! (at the RACSPE La Mesa Tree Planting)

Posted on

I woke up on a Saturday morning at 6:00 and that’s when I realized I don’t have my slippers! It’s raining! And we are going to go tree planting! Well, I left it at school.

Anyway, I have this other pair of slippers and I know it will not last. I planned to buy a new one but the stores are still closed. Fortunately, my friend Toyo has one paperclip, so I used it for a while. You think it survived?

My slipper, with a paperclip... (wawa naman)

We had taken like four hours to get to the La Mesa place. There was heavy traffic in C5. It also rained hard. But I didn’t sleep. I took the time to look at the window and observe the places. (And of course, take pictures!)

On the way to Quezon City.. It was raining hard and we were sleepy..

RCSPE / RACSPE Tree Planting at La Mesa Watershed

The Rotary Club of San Pedro East (headed by Pres. Mhon Brazas) and the Rotaract Club of San Pedro East (headed by Anthony Jasareno) travelled from San Pedro to Quezon city on a rainy Saturday of August 27 to donate and plant trees to the La Mesa Watershed. Rotarians and Rotaractors were oriented of the beginnings of the La Mesa Ecopark and Watershed, how important it is to preserve the environment, and of course, how to plant seedlings the proper way.

"Manong" (left) was the one who oriented us. And Sir Mhon (right) talked of the essence of the project.

On the way to the garden

We were taught how to plant seedlings properly. :)

The Rotarians with Pres. Mhon Brazas (Far left)

The Rotaractors with Pres. Anthony (holding the certificate)

You would think its hard to walk with those slippers in mind. But anyway, I enjoyed the project all in all. In fact, I think I didn’t mind the slippers at all.

And finally we were on our way home.

On our way home...

On a More Personal Note ^^

I have planted a tree once, that was in Subic like four years ago. I don’t know if that tree was able to grow or even survive. But, what the heck, we can always plant a new one!

I found fulfillment in the project. (Being a nature lover and part time environmentalist) :)

But aside from that, I enjoyed the pics as well. Here are some of them.

The comfort rooms at La Mesa Ecopark were indeed nice. (Hey, Ry! What ya doin' there?!)

As always...

Fail. This is so like the perfect shot! (Ryan!!)

Mr. President, are you using our banner as body cover??

I don't know what I'm doin' here...(I hope my slipper won't give in)

Bulate Girl Jho :) She can hold the earthworm, I can't!

It was indeed a day dedicated to unity, friendship, environment and others. (Well, there are many.) I can say it was fruitful. Going back to my slippers…

and it did survive!

After walking to wet and dry trails of earth and cement, I didn’t have to buy a new one. hehe. :D

Thanks for reading. :)

Calamba Trip

Posted on

Anthony and I went to SM Calamba for the Rotaract Laguna Area meeting. At 4:30, we were there, and the meeting is at 5:00 p.m. (Yes, we were early!)

And because we were early, we strolled and ate and strolled. And then we saw this Mural paintings of Jose Rizal (And I remembered that we were in Calamba, the birthplace of Rizal). So we took the time to look at these and gave comments about it.

We saw this mural exhibit at SM.

I only chose the paintings that I like. Like this one below, it has a “Calamba” theme in it. I forgot the title. Anyway, there’s Rizal, the “palayok”, the shrine, and the Mt. Makiling that has the image of a woman, or shall I say “Maria Makiling”.

Calamba theme

The next painting is called “Bukang Liwayway.” Rizal sure looks different in here. It’s like his face has gone dark and so mysterious. But hey, it also has an abstract touch on it. I like it.

"Bukang Liwayway"

This one below is entitled “Magkaibigan.” I was told that there is really the small monument of a young Rizal and the other child could be just leaning on it. Or it could be interpreted as Rizal and a friend when he was young then.

"Magkaibigan"

The next one also seems abstract to me, but you can very well see what the painter wants to express. I am kinda wondering on the partition of colors, half of it is in black and white and the other is colored. Probably from the dark colored, when he died, the Filipinos were awakened that’s why it became colored. (Just my interpretation.)

I also like this one. Looks abstract to me, but it contains a scene when Rizal was shot.

I liked this one because of Rizal’s face. It’s really exotic. :)

I can't remember the title of this painting. But Rizal sure looks different here.

And with the next painting? hehehe

I don't know.. Pa-cute lang.. ^^

And as we waited longer, I bought Buko juice for the two of us. I figured, buko juice is far way better than softdrinks. (Because I really like softdrinks!)

Anthony stares at his buko juice. He didn't know I will take this shot.. haha.. :)

I tasted the buko juice and it tastes bitter to me. But anyway, I didn’t mind it. Especially when I read the benefits of this magical juice. :)

The wonders of Buko juice

I had a good time at SM Calamba. And then we transferred to the Rotary Library of Calamba Central. The meeting started at 7:00 and ended at 10:00 p.m. Whew!

Backrider From Laguna to Quezon ^_^

Posted on

From San Pedro to Lucban, and back.. :)

It was really indeed a new adventure for me. I rode  a motorcycle from Laguna to Quezon. As in yes! Any other person would prefer a convenient way of going there, but yeah, I have experienced it.

We were to attend a Rotaract event in Lucban, Quezon. Days before that, neither of us wanted to go there because we’re both financially constrained. And then Anthony suggested if we could just ride a motorcycle. And then I agreed. Well, because only for the reason that we can save money.

And then, the morning of May 13, at 9:00 a.m., my new adventure began. With the trustee motorcycle, my “boss driver”, and Marny’s helmet (thanks by the way Mokong), we started to travel.

Getting ready for the trip. :)

The driver.

His name is Anthony.

Getting ready for the trip. :)

He's setting up our tent.

His hobbies include biking and/or riding the motorcycle with different biking and motorcycle groups. He’s kinda shy. ^_^  But I will be of service to this guy. He’s the incoming president of our Rotaract club, and I’m his secretary.

At Kamay ni Hesus. Really a shy guy! hehe

The Travel

I felt the heat from Cabuyao to Calamba. But when we got to Victoria, Laguna, it’s not so hot anymore. I mean, the time was I think around 10:30 to 11:00 a.m., but I even had the chance to slide the lid of the helmet (I don’t know what it’s called, the glass thingy!) to see the actual view of the mountains, feel the slightly cool air and watch the road as we passed along the highway. We passed lots of towns: Bae, Victoria, Pasanjan, Cavinti, Lousiana and then Lucban. I can’t remember the exact sequence and towns.

The View

If I could just describe what I saw, I know you’ll feel gladness too. Even though my butt is kind of aching already, I didn’t mind it. I was like a child in the movie, awed and dumbfounded of the things that I actually see.

Kamay ni Hesus

The next day, after the event, we went to Kamay ni Hesus in Lucban. I really wanted to climb up there but we were kind of in a hurry.

At Kamay ni Hesus

But we took time to take pictures. Of all the saints on the side, I just took a picture with St. Vincent Ferrer because he has a special place in my heart. And after that, we went to Garden of Eden.

Saint Vincent Ferrer

Garden of Eden

Garden of Eden

I just said “Wow, Noah’s ark!” ^_^

Wow! Noah's ark! :)

I still remember that my Mom told me that bible story. It’s like the story has come to life. I saw the ark. I saw the animals.

With the elephant..

With endangered polar bear?

I sat on the fox. I'm glad that he didn't speak.

With Lion King, Rawr!

With the Dyirapees! :)

And I saw Adam and Eve.

With Adam and Eve.

And then we went home. We didn’t stop by at the Pahiyas festival anymore because of the time. Anyway, on the way home, stopped at Sta. Cruz for a cold Buko Juice. Thony said that we should feel the “province atmosphere” that’s why he preferred to drink buko juice.

Yummy Buko juice! :) Super haggard eh..

And because I was very tired, I just slept the whole day of Sunday. I will never forget that experience. As in, I have one thing that most people have not yet done in their lives. I experienced to be a backrider from Laguna to Quezon and back!  ^_^

Photogra-facts of our Trip to Baguio ♥

Posted on

I planned to blog about our adventures in Baguio. But since Zyra has already blogged some of it, I decided to think of another blog out of that trip. And this is what I came up! :)   (This is only what I came up??) hehehe

We had a lot of pictures in Baguio. (As in A LOT!) Yeah! It seemed like we went there only to take a lot of pictures from three different cameras. So I took the time to choose the photos that remind me of some things I encountered in Baguio. And so, here they are…

1.       On our way to Pasay, Zyra gave me a new lipstick. (Thanks Zy.. =)

The lipstick that Zy gave me. Thanks Zyrie.. ♥

2.       The tv that was showing during that time is “Soldier” starring Kurt Russell. (One look at the screen, I already knew it.)

3.       This was just an “accidental shot” from my Olympus camera.

"Lugar ba ito?"

4.       It is Ryan’s first time in Baguio. So we always consider him first before the rest. (That’s why we weren’t able to go to the Chinese Temple –bell tower—which I really want to see,,because he wants to see the strawberry farms instead.  You, Ryan!)

Pa-cute.

5.     While Ryan was imitating a saber tooth, Zy discovered that we were on the bus with “Karen” from the McDo commercial. Ryan was so happy during one of the stop overs because Karen talked to her. Guess what she said. “Boss, san dito yung CR?”  hahahaha

6. That is me, taken while I was sleeping.

Red suman

7.     (On our first day) This photo was taken with neither of us taking a bath yet. Hehe.. Water is friggin’ cold, and we were still heating water. So “picture-picture” first!  :)

8. I was really exhausted when this shot was taken..(and I’m not selling those everlasting!)

Hey, it's only P25.00!

9. We don’t know who “Girlie” is… 10. We just stayed here for three minutes to take a few photos and then left right away. (wala naman daw makikita bukod sa mansyon..:)

The Mansion

11. I was thinking If I will like what they ordered for lunch.

Tagal naman umorder...

12. It was my first time to eat in this so called “Shabu Shabu”. Zy really wanted me to eat there. Ryan enjoyed the food more than I did. hehe. But I enjoyed the experience. It was my first time use chopsticks. :)

Wow, I am good with chopsticks!

13. It was also my first time to drink cold coffee or something at Starbucks! (Hey, I’m glad it happened in Baguio!)

Outside Starbucks, Camp John Hay

As I’ve said, there were indeed many pictures. I enjoyed the trip and I don’t know what’s with Baguio and I always love to come back there. I hope you experience the same too when you go there. Don’t forget to bring the cameras with you.

These are just few of the many pictures we had taken. I hope to post more next time. Till then, thanks for visiting and reading!
