My Notable Group Photos 2012

Posted on

2012.

What a year that was.

There are so many activities I have done this year. Mostly are school related, Rotaract and community service, and my other interests.

I cannot mention them all but in this post, I selected few group photos from the memorable events I attended and participated for the year 2012.

1.  Unity in Diversity

Most students from the photo are officers of different organizations from our school. After the celebration of the founding anniversary of the school, they were able to build strong friendships, and one has resulted to this overnight swimming. :D

2.  First Pilipinas Rotaract Convention

I was part of Rotaract Philippines history as I represented our club (Rotaract San Pedro East) in the first ever Pilipinas Rotaract Convention held in Tagaytay (February 2012).

Different Rotaractors from the country convened to bridge the gap among Rotaract clubs in the Philippines. I was also one of the panelists in one plenary session. I’ll tell you, I had fun there!

3.  San Pedro Clean-Up

This photo was taken after the San Pedro Clean up day held sometime on March 2012. In this photo are some of the members of Rotaract San Pedro East, and my co-NSTP faculty members.

4.  Green DISCON

The District Conference of RID 3820 was held in Puerto Galera last March 2012. I was with three others Rotaractors from our club. I enjoyed the ambiance and the company of our very own Rotaractors from the District.

5.  Rotaract Year End Report in Lucena

I’ll tell you, I’m getting more and more familiar with the places that I go to in Laguna, Batangas and Quezon.

This one was taken in Lucena, Quezon. I remember that we almost did not make it to render the report but we did! Oh, the hassles. If you want to read again about the hassles we encountered, read here.

6.  District Assembly 3820

This event is the starting assembly for the new Rotary year that starts July 01. This event aims to prepare the Rotaract Clubs and its corresponding presidents, secretaries and officers for another year of “Fellowship Through Service” (Motto of Rotaract). In an impromptu manner, I hosted the program. I enjoyed it! :)

7.  Rotaract Manila Induction

I attended the Induction of new officers and members of Rotaract Manila, our club’s sister club.

It was my first time to be at the Manila Hotel!

I was inspired with the theme and aspirations of their new president Jarl Gamonez and the club’s theme “The Happiness Project.”

8.  Laguna Area Induction

Our club was in charge of the program for the Induction of Rotaract Clubs from Laguna Area. I really appreciate the effort of the members of our club who helped in the preparations.

9.  Relief Operations Projects

When the storm without a name hit the country, the nearby areas along Laguna Bay have been affected by the monsoon rains. Our school, SPCBA, SPCBA organizations and Rotaract San Pedro East combined their efforts to form Relief operations to San Pedro affected areas. It was a series of relief operations and our students were very eager to lend a hand.

I saw the joy of doing relief operations together with the people I always see in my second home.

We also invited Rotaractors from 3820 to donate and help in any way they can. The members of Rotaract Candelaria have travelled from Quezon to Laguna to bring the relief goods to San Pedro residents. Isn’t that nice?

The photo below was taken also after relief operations. This time, we are with Rotaract Manila and Rotary Manila Magic.

10.  Walk for a Cause with my NSTP Students

This group photo was taken during a walk for a cause sometime in October. I had to run because I have to be a panelist in an oral defense. However, I told them that if they feel tired, they don’t need to practice their yell presentation.

I did not expect that they returned to school to practice their yell routine. Oh, those simple things that my students do that I appreciate a lot.

11.  Saranggola Blog Awards 2012

Being a blogger and member of U-Blog have brought me nice friends for the past year. I said I wouldn’t want to miss this year’s SBA because I want to meet several bloggers I haven’t met and bloggers whom I have already known. And I did. (I don’t want to remember the rest! >_<) hahaha. :D

12.  With My Students

This goes to ALL MY STUDENTS: I may have been short with you sometimes, but YOU are the reason I gather new experiences in my everyday life. Every knowledge, laughter, incident that happens in the four corners of the classroom makes me appreciate teaching more. :)

13.  NSTP and Volunteens

This photo was taken during our Christmas party. (And these Volunteens are extremely quiet and peaceful if they are together!)

My other department, NSTP, has brought me a lot of experiences in community service; and to our Volunteens, may your leadership inspire others too.

14.  Big Ate Kuya 2012

My year would be incomplete without Rotaract San Pedro East. The time I give to community service makes me happy and makes me complete.

This photo was taken during our Big Ate Kuya Project, in which we bring the Paradise day care kids to the mall, as we stand as their “big ate” and “big kuya” for the day. I enjoyed the day as we looked at their faces while enjoying Christmas with us.

A group photo tells a story. And that is the nice thing about photos, they record the memories that had passed.

Thanks for reading and stopping by.

For sure there will be more photos for 2013. I would like to thank the people who have been part of my 2012.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL! May God always shower you with His blessings! :D
