I was explaining to my students the rules in the proper use of punctuation in business writing. I was particularly at the dash and hyphen part.
As I was explaining that a hyphen becomes a dash (when your’re typing and when you had spaces between it), I noticed that my students whom I’ll call Asiong and company (who were sitting at the back), were talking about something. I knew they were listening but I wanted to call their attention.
“Hey!” (in a very nice irritating mood) “You are not listening huh?”
Confidently, ‘Asiong’ answered. “I’m listening mam!”
“Oh yeah? What’s this?” (I, pointing to the dash)
And to my surprise, he answered surely..
“Ma’am.. underscore!”
The whole class burst into laughter and so did I.

Haha ako alam ko po yung difference pero yung pagsulat ko maikli lang both haha
Okay lang naman sa handwriting. Yung sa typing ang importante kasi most of the letters are computerized naman.
