Happy Halloween Anyway! >_<

Posted on

Halloween has been sensationalized today by Filipinos. We now have these parties for kids, and even for adults and they are really serious dressin’ up!

I mean, we didn’t have that when we were young, just only the spooky episodes in “Magandang Gabi Bayan” of Noli De Castro to make us feel that it is November 1st. I think Halloween is celebrated before November 1 because technically, the first day November is spent to pray and visit the graves of our loved ones.

Anyway, I might as well “join the bandwagon.” Haha!

How? Let me mention some of the halloween stuff I like..

I hate (but still watch) I Know What You Did Last Summer. This is a “hot” movie, if the guys know what I mean. ;) While watching, you would say, “Wag ka na kasi pumunta dyan!” or “Nasa likod mo yan, aaaa!”

My favorite movie scene would be the famous conversation between the killer and Casey played by Drew Barrymore. The movie is Scream. It was funny. :D

Photo: themoviebanter.com

The horror movie that I screamed to is “Shutter” original version. I mean, I was just only watching it on television and whoa, I was screaming.. hehe. I even watched the American version of this first, I was screaming too.. haha!

My favorite psychopath character would be of course, Hannibal Lecter. Yeah he’s a doctor, but every time I watch Silence of the Lambs, I feel creepy over this guy. He could sense you and smell you. Adding the fact that he has an exceptional way of killing people. Just creepy.

Hannibal Lecter

My favorite horror movie sequels would be Shake, Rattle and Roll. Hey, this movie seems like forever.. And I think many movie goers are still fond of this movie since you get three different stories just by one watching. I can still remember the Undin episode, that cute weird creature! And many celebrities today have appeared already in the film. From Ruffa Gutierrez, Kris Aquino, Janice De Belen, Richard Gomez to now young stars Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, Lovie Poe, Erich Gonzales and Jennica Garcia.

But I really like the recent episode “Yaya” with Izza Calzado and Nash Aguas. Izza played a mysterious nanny and Nash as a curious boy who has a baby brother. He finds out that the nanny is an “aswang” and no one would believe the young boy, so he did everything to protect his younger brother.

Shake Rattle and Roll

My favorite horror character would be CHUCKIE! Everytime I watch the movie, I would just laugh. It’s hilarious! But even though it’s  just a product of fiction, I would not choose to have this doll even as a display. Just imagine it in your room and the lights are off.. weeee…

Chuckie doll. A very nice toy!

And of course, horror music video would be Michael Jackson’s Thriller. The ever famous imitated by most during these times. And the dance steps are imitated as well. Zombies dancin’

If I would be coming to a Halloween party, I would like to dress up as a black lady or black witch.. And this will be my look!

Stolen shot.. It turned out to be funny! haha :D

Happy Halloween!

As I was scanning old pictures from my files, I saw these old pictures that I thought I have no copy anymore because I remember uploading them at my Friendster account and were deleted.

These pictures made me smile. See… :)   ahihihi..

I have worked for this institution for a number of years. I remember one afternoon before I went home, I saw the sunrays very clearly along the corridor. I’m glad that I had my camera during that moment, and took shots of the school building, and the tress with the sunrays.

I’m just amateur when it comes to taking pictures, but I do appreciate the outcome of this. (Pagbigyan na.. >_<)    ~Click to enlarge~

I love my shot here. I love the sunrays and the clouds.. :)

There you go. Thanks for visiting my blog! :D

Happy Bday Zyra ♥

It’s October 19, and my friend, Zyra turns …hmmm.. I won’t tell you, I didn’t ask her permission yet! >_<

Birthday girl ♥

She’s one of the greatest friends that I have met. I don’t know how I’m going to describe her, except that she makes me happy.

I can tell her almost everything. We can make a dull day extraordinary. One of the friends I’ll always treasure.

And because it is her special day today, I have made this video of our pictures. I know that this is far amateur than what Zyra does, and she might call this “Hehe laugh trip tol!” I hope you’ll like it.

Because Zyra makes me HAPPY! ♥

Happy birthday!

Congratulations CPA Board Passers!

It seems like we were just inside the classroom, I was discussing, and they were very warm and active…

BSA students after our English 3 classes.

With me (in pink) and goofin' around.. :D

..and years have passed, they have graduated, and some of them have successfully passed the CPA board exam. I am proud to say I know them.

Congratulations to my students who are now CPAs from San Pedro College of Business Administration!  :)

Your hardwork, patience and perseverance had paid off. Do not forget to thank God for the guidance that He has bestowed you during the examinations.

And here they are…

Ms. Aizel Alon. Always with her circle of friends. Very cheerful. :)

Ms. Reichelle Bayogo. She's very simple and quiet.

Ms. Jessica Canales. Always with her circle of friends. Cheerful person. :)

Mr. Renmark Copioso. A guy who is quiet. Ahehe I don't know!

Mr. Allan Dave Copioso. I remember this guy most for his 'almost perfect' exams, and his acting prowess in their Eng 3 requirement. :D

Ms. Sabrina Portugal. A simple girl too and studious.

Mr. Fred Luigi Magnayon and Mr. Ferdinand Magnayon. This is just the picture that I got. Both of them have been my students~ and their sister too. Real intelligent brothers, I'd say. I guess it runs in the blood.

Ms. Cheene Claudine Navea. I'll remember her most for her 'brat kid' role in the Eng 3 project.

Ms. Joana Joy Laurito. My student since she was third year high school.

Ms. Regine Carrillo. Intelligent and sweet. Pretty inside and out.

Ms. Jesselyn Millanes. She's the closest to my heart. She's my textmate and I used to tell her my problems before she got busy. I am so proud of this girl. Very kind and sweet. She used to help me with my paperwork. ♥

Once again, Congratulations to all of you!

Cheers!

Congrats RACSPE for “Greenvironment”

The award from the Rotary International

This award was given to our club, the Rotaract Club of San Pedro East (RACSPE) 3820 for the Most Outstanding Project in the Asia Pacific Region by the Rotary International for the project “Greenvironment.”

Greenvironment

Greenvironment is a project that targeted to inform and disseminate information and awareness of the environmental problems and the ways on preserving the environment.

With the support of our sponsoring Rotary Club, San Pedro East, the members, and the community had joint efforts to make the project a reality. It was a series of projects composed of walks for a cause, clean up drives, environmental contests and symposiums. I am proud to say that the authors of the project documentation are Zyra (Past President of RACSPE) and Me. ♥

Some of Greenvironment's action pics

Green Party

And because of the project’s success, we celebrated of course. (Who wouldn’t?) And we called it the “Green Party.”

RACSPE at our "Green Party" (And I was not wearing green! >_<)

The Award

This project has come a long way and we treasure the awards and recognition from the other clubs and districts from the country and other countries from the Asia Pacific and even from the Rotary International.

The award was given at New Orleans. Who received the award? None of us did but a Rotaractor from another district, PDRR Joannie Sitoy, received it for us.

PDRR Joannie Sitoy received the award at New Orleans in behalf of the club.

Months have passed after the award finally got into our hands. The award is very simple. But it is very meaningful to us.

It was handed to me when I attended the  Asia Pacific Rotaract Regional Conference (APRRC) held in Subic, Olongapo City, Philippines. And it finally ended up on our hands.

I remember telling Zyra, “Hey, if the award is already with us, we’ll be taking a lot of pictures with it!” And so we did.

The award with Zy and Zen. This was taken during the meeting of our sponsoring Rotary Club.

The award with Zen and Zy again.. :D (Sawa na ba kayo?) This was taken during the Induction of our sponsoring Rotary Club, RC San Pedro East.

With Immediate Past President (IPP) Francis. It was during his term when the project was done.

With President Anthony. He is the president of RACSPE for Rotary year 2011-2012.

Danilo and Juan. Two of our members that I would say are really helpful and kind.

With the members of the Rotaract Club of San Pedro East :D (Juan, Jester, Dan, Khit, IPP Francis, Pres. Thony, Sec. Zen, PE Toyo, Jho, Chard)

We thank the people who have made this project possible. We thank God for giving us the knowledge, talent, skills and wisdom to share and do what we can to help the environment and other people as well.

The journey to solve environmental problems doesn’t stop here. It has just begun.

There you go. Cheers to the Rotaract Club of San Pedro East! ♥

So why backless?

Well, it was my first time to ever wear a dress that is, well, backless. :D I had this dress for quite some time, but I was not that confident to wear it. Until I had the guts to do it. (Yes!) And I would say that the dress didn’t fail me.

Zyra is very supportive.. ahihihi.. ♥

I attended a Rotary event with the other members of our club. I hosted the event as well. My friends told me that I might get “pulmonya” because of what I’m wearing. >_<

They were probably not used to me wearing something like that. I was also not used to it at first, but I was glad to be at the event.

RACSPE with the Rotarian dignitaries of 3820 (Super formal pic!)

I love ‘me’ during that evening. It’s just a matter of confidence with a combination of a happy mood. :)

Wacky shot. Me and the members of the Rotaract Club of San Pedro East.

I will prepare a new dress for me for the coming induction of our club on November. I’m excited! :D

Have you ever felt…

Have you ever felt being in the same place with somebody…

Whom you wish you could see always..

And then him saying “Hey, you look great tonight.”

And I said, “Really? Thank you.. ♥ ♥”

And I was there, he was also there…

Just the thought of that somebody being there made me smile,

And my eyes sparkled..

And having the chance, to sit beside him  and chat a bit..

As he graced with his wonderful smiles…

I felt all of that..

But the next day, I woke up.

I realized it’s still just a dream.

Good day everyone.. :)

My Subic Encounters 1: Mine is cooler!

Posted on

I went to Subic, Olongapo City for an International Rotaract Conference for four days. (That’s why I wasn’t able to blog, gosh!) I had a lot of experiences that I’m sure I’ll treasure. Since there are so many, I decided to chunk them and tell it bit by bit.

During the convention, one of the speakers was Dingdong Dantes. Because he is like the ambassador of the youth for the arts and culture something. (Sorry! I wasn’t paying attention, just looking at him! >_<)

I listened to his speech and it was interesting. And we had a picture with him.

My friends from my district and Dingdong. (It's obvious that this is a wacky shot!)

One of my friends went to the comfort room before his speech and was able to have a solo picture with Dingdong.

A lucky shot of Iyah and Dingdong (Photo Credit: Iyah Palisoc via fb)

I said to my friend Joe, “Wow, he had a picture with Dingdong, malapitan?” Ahehehe..

“Buti pa ako, mas bigatin…

…with Tirso Cruz III!

Here take a look.

We saw him outside the hotel that we were staying... :D

In fairness to him, he is indeed a vetaran and well known actor. I told the story to my mom, and she was laughing hard. Ahaha!  :D
